About

I have a foundation degree in person-centred counselling and I am registered with the BACP and adhere to the ethical framework. (See www.bacp.co.uk). I am a voluntary bereavement counsellor at the Martlets hospice so I have a particular interest in loss and bereavement.

I have also been a trained paediatric nurse for over 13 years so I have a huge amount of experience working with young people and families, and I enjoy working with new mums as they start on their journey as a parent.

I believe that we all need space at some point in our life to make sense of our experiences and it can be really helpful to do this with someone outside our family and friendship circles.

In my own experience I found having person-centred counselling in the past very useful so I felt drawn to understand and train in this approach.

"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried."
